ATDT Improves Diagnostics

August 14, 2001 - Redman, OR - A new diagnostic tool is bringing new levels of efficiency and convenience to the servicing of automatic Allison transmissions in motor homes.

The Allison Transmission Diagnostic Tool (ATDT), a PC-based, full feature diagnostic software application supporting WTEC II and WTEC III control systems, enables a technician to quickly and easily access diagnostic data from the transmission and follow code-driven hyperlinks to corrective troubleshooting steps. By simply double-clicking on a transmission diagnostic code displayed on the user's ATDT-equipped PC screen, the technician is transported to the specific location in the ATD Troubleshooting Manual to begin the repair process. ATDT's embedded troubleshooting manuals, complete with graphics, are also easily accessible for reference without using the code driven hyperlinks.

An Allison-owned diagnostic tool, ATDT frees the technician from carrying separate troubleshooting manuals and saves time and improves diagnostic accuracy by helping automate the diagnostic routine.

The tool's graphical user interface uses a world standard Windows. "look and feel" and is supported by wide range of navigational options to simplify the diagnostic function: whether technicians are working alongside a vehicle in a shop or riding in a truck, ATDT provides superior diagnostic support.
