Prior to joining Allison Transmission, Caswelch was director, Global OTD Process Design for General Motors' Asia Pacific operations. Beginning her career with GM in 1992, Caswelch has held engineering, quality, manufacturing and strategic planning positions in its Asia Pacific, Truck Group and Delphi operations.

Caswelch has a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She also holds a Master's in Business Administration from Harvard University.
