Allison Transmission has introduced Allison DOCTM For PC Version 2.0, a full feature diagnostic software application supporting control systems for the Allison MD/HD product family and 1000/2000/2400 SeriesTM transmissions. The diagnostic software was formerly known as the Allison Transmission Diagnostic Tool (ATDT). The Allison DOCTM For PC diagnostic tool enables a technician to quickly and easily access diagnostic data from the transmission control system and conduct systematic troubleshooting of transmission problems through the use of embedded troubleshooting manuals. By simply double-clicking on a transmission diagnostic code displayed on an Allison DOCTM For PC computer screen, the technician is transported to the specific location in the ATD Troubleshooting Manual to begin the repair process. The embedded troubleshooting manuals of Allison DOCTM For PC, complete with graphics, are also easily accessible for reference without using the code driven hyperlinks. An Allison-owned diagnostic tool, Allison DOCTM For PC frees the technician from carrying separate troubleshooting manuals, saves time, and improves diagnostic accuracy by helping automate the diagnostic routine. The tool's graphical user interface uses a world standard Windows® "look and feel" and is supported by a wide range of navigational options to simplify the diagnostic function: whether technicians are working alongside a vehicle in a shop or riding in a truck, Allison DOCTM For PC provides superior diagnostic support. Allison DOCTM For PC Version 2.0 adds capability to Allison's diagnostic tool by enabling users to receive select program updates by connecting via the internet to a tool update server. Allison DOCTM Version 2.0 For PC Version 2.0 also offers a Data Bus Viewer that allows the user to capture, view, and save raw data transmitted on the vehicle bus when diagnosing Alliso
