Allison TCM Reflash

NOTE:  The DPA4 Plus USB Translator Device supports multiple drivers for a number of applications. The two most common drivers are the DG121032 and the DR121032 drivers.  Allison Transmission Service Tools (i.e. Allison DOC® For PC–Service Tool and Allison TCM Reflash) only support the DR121032 drivers.  The DR121032 V2.14 DPA4 Plus USB Device Drivers are automatically installed during the installation of Allison DOC® For PC–Service Tool V8.0.0 and Allison TCM Reflash V2.0.

What is a translator device and why do I need one?

A translator device (also known as vehicle link adapter or interfacing device) is an adapter that is used to connect the user's PC to the vehicle diagnostic connector. This adapter serves as "data translator" between the user's PC and the vehicle databus. The translator device receives data from the ECU/TCM (Electronic Control Unit/Transmission Control Module), arranges it, and delivers it in a format that is readable by the PC. Often, these adapters require drivers to manage the translation process (Driver: small program that lets the translator device communicate with a computer). Different adapters exist depending on the particular application used.

Translator Devices for PC Applications:

Allison's PC based diagnostic tools are 'RP1210A' compliant software applications which utilize 'RP1210A' compliant translator devices to communicate with the transmission control system.  RP1210A is a recommended practice that allows translator devices and softwares which follow the same standard to be compatible with each other.

Allison DOC® Diagnostic Tools {i.e. Allison DOC® For PC-Service Tool, Allison DOC® For Fleets (1000/2000), and Allison DOC® For Fleets (3000/4000)} support the following:
