Introduction

Allison TCM Reflash provides worldwide customers accurate, reliable, and trackable calibrations for use with Allison Transmissions using WTEC II, CEC2, WTEC III, 1000 and 2000 Product Families TCMs (Pre-Allison 4th Generation Controls), Allison 4th Generation Controls TCMs, and EP 40/50 SystemsTM (Allison Electric DrivesTM).  The Allison TCM Reflash program allows users to download calibrations from the host web server and load calibrations into ECUs and TCMs while keeping records of the activity.  The program is primarily intended for use by Allison Distributors and Dealers, OEMs, and Allison Personnel.

Allison TCM Reflash is designed to automatically update when application updates are available and the user connects to the web server.

Note: Allison TCM Reflash follows the same PC Platform Requirements as the Allison DOCTM For PC - Service Tool V5.0.0 or higher.  For PC Platform Requirements, click HERE.

Configuring Allison TCM Reflash for your Translator Device

Allison TCM Reflash's defaut settings are for use with the Dearborn DPA4 Plus USB.  Sites using translator devices other than the Dearborn DPA4 Plus USB will need to configure their settings after login.  Pull down the File menu and select Application Setup.

Pick the settings shown in yellow on the table below based on your setup.

New User Signup & Setup Information (For people that do not have Allison TCM Reflash IDs)

Question: Who Can Sign Up?
Answer: Allison
TCM Reflash is primarily intended for use by Allison Distributors and Dealers, OEMs, and Allison Personnel.

Instructions

1) Check the PC Platform Requirements to ensure your computer can run the program.

2) Fill out the Allison TCM Reflash ID Request Form and fax it into Allison (fax # is on the form). It usually takes 1-2 business days for Allison to assign you a user ID. Allison Dealers must also complete the Allison TCM Reflash Dealer License Application.  This will be sent to you once Allison receives your ID Request Form. 

3) Download and read the TCM Reflash User’s Guide and the TCM Reflash Tools Checklist.  Training is available in the Allison ELearn system.  Please reference course number TT-AP-RF01.0WB.
a. Reference Appendix B & C (pages 39 – 48) in the TCM Reflash Guide for component usage of the tools listed in the Allison TCM Reflash Tools Checklist.
b. Based on your intended use of the program, order any necessary components that you do not yet have.

4) If you are using an Intermec printer for TCM labels, please reference the Intermec Printer Setup Guide.

5) Download Allison TCM Reflash V1.2 from the Software Downloads section above. Install the program.

6) Once you have received a User ID and Password from Allison, run the program and Login.

7) Follow the instructions above for Configuring Allison TCM Reflash for your Translator Device once you have all the necessary components.

8) Check the Translator Devices table above so ensure that your device drivers have been installed.

9) Either download the Calibration Request Form or open it from the Help menu from within the Allison TCM Reflash program. This form is used to request calibration changes to the Allison Service Technology Group.

10) Your setup is now complete. For Help, please reference the Support Information section below.

Support Information
The TCM Reflash User’s guide is available from within the program, on the login menu to the program, and under the Additional Information above. The guide will provide the user with the necessary guidelines to install and use software application. The Allison Technical Support Center Help Desk (1-800-252-5283) is available to TCM Reflash users to address issues related to the installation and usage of the application. For PC problems or questions on connecting to the Internet through a Proxy Server, please contact your company’s Information Technology department.
