INDIANAPOLIS, 24. April 2019 – In Anbetracht der weltweiten Anstrengungen zur Elektrifizierung von Nutzfahrzeugen kündigt Allison Transmission, führend bei Antriebslösungen für Nutzfahrzeuge, die Entwicklung hocheffizienter und leistungsstarker Achsen für Elektrofahrzeuge an.
Die AXE-Baureihe von Allison wird zukunftsfähige elektrische Lösungen für den Markt liefern. Der elektrische Antriebsstrang der AXE-Serie, der auf der Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT)-Ausstellung 2019 in Long Beach, Kalifornien, vorgestellt wurde, wird für Test- und Evaluierungszwecke in den Peterbilt Class 8 Elektro-Sattelschlepper, Modell 579EV, eingebaut. Damit verfügt der Lkw über 1.475 PS (1.100 Kilowatt) für eine branchenweit führende Leistung und Effizienz.
