The Allison will cope with an unfriendly environment, such as desert, mountainous terrain and water logged ground having the capability of operating at low speeds, in tight conditions and with the absence of roll-back.
The rugged design of the transmission shrugs off punishing treatment and abusive duty cycles. Reliability becomes the number one priority. The US and other military have relied on Allison for many years in their wheeled and tracked vehicles.
