Allison Transmission to Present Propulsion Solutions at Pollutec
LYON, France, September 2023 – Allison Transmission, a leading designer and manufacturer of conventional, electric hybrid and fully electric vehicle propulsion solutions, will exhibit at the Pollutec trade show in Lyon October 10 to 13
(Stand H2-LA032). Allison offers a variety of propulsion solutions, including fully automatic transmissions compatible with alternative combustible fuels and its expanding fully electric axle technologies, well suited for sanitation departments like
refuse collection and road maintenance.
The Allison eGen Power® family of fully electric axles has been developed to address the needs of a wide range of customers as they evaluate electric vehicle capabilities within the commercial vehicle market. The e-Axles are modular and designed for easy
installation and integration into existing vehicle chassis.
For internal combustion engine vehicles, Allison has continued to optimize its propulsion solutions to meet the energy efficiency needs of the waste collection professions, sweeping and washing roads. The productivity, reliability and ease of use of Allison
transmissions help achieve optimal total cost of ownership. Allison fully automatic transmissions are compatible with alternative fuels, such as natural gas and biogas, which enable fleets to achieve reduced emissions with internal combustion engine
vehicles.
Allison continues to innovate fuel efficient technology like Allison FuelSense® 2.0 with Dynactive® Shifting, which uses an algorithm to choose the optimal gear shift point, depending on the vehicle, specifications and environmental parameters, constantly
offering the ideal balance between fuel economy and performance. Additionally, many OEMs offer vehicles equipped with Allison fully automatic transmissions with xFE™ technology, which can significantly reduce fuel consumption in waste collection activities
while maintaining performance and durability.
