PARIS, January 2024 – Hugon Tourisme has just acquired one of the first Van Hool new T range coaches in France, a T11 Acron powered by a 410 horsepower MX11 litre engine and equipped with the Allison T450R transmission. This coach allows
Hugon Tourisme to expand its fleet and keep it at the cutting edge of technology. It complements the two Van Hool coaches equipped with Allison transmissions used by Hugon Tourisme since 2018.
Hugon Tourisme is a passenger transport company located in Mende in Lozère, France. It provides regular services to the Occitanie and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions, summer tourist lines, a daily shuttle from Mende to Paris and tourist trips throughout
Europe. It is a family business employing more than 200 employees with a fleet of 200 vehicles and five sites in total between Lozère and Haute-Loire. Hugon Tourisme has a fleet of 10 coaches dedicated to national and international tourism.
“Comfort for tourist trips, which involve several days of travel and thousands of kilometres, is very important for our passengers. The Allison transmission cancels out all the jerks when changing gears, whatever the difficulty of the road. The combination
of this transmission with the interior comfort and convenience of the Van Hool T range makes the journey very pleasant for passengers and reduces driver fatigue,” said Dominique Lavaure, Managing Director of Hugon Tourisme.
Van Hool continued its cooperation with Allison for its new T range by offering Allison transmissions on its 11- and 13-litre motorised models. This cooperation is particularly important for Hugon Tourisme, which finds this association ideal.
“Our drivers leave with passengers for long journeys lasting several days, so they are completely independent thousands of kilometres from our sites. When they run with Van Hool coaches equipped with the Allison transmission, our workshops and we can
have peace of mind because we have known the reliability of Allison since 2018,” said Florian Lavaure, President of Hugon Tourisme.
“We provided Hugon Tourisme, along with Van Hool, a very efficient driveline offering great comfort. This is an undeniable asset for Hugon Tourisme, allowing them to enjoy confidence and a reputation for excellence in tourism transport,” said Stéphane
Gonnand, Area Sales Manager, Allison Transmission France.
